A ‘CANNABIS shop’ is set to open in Warrington town centre.
The CBD Store is due to open in a unit on Sankey Street, located between the Holy Trinity Church and the former Rigby’s Finest Fresh Foods store.
Its website states: “CBD is a powerful new form of marijuana, but without the associated high and negatives of traditional cannabis consumption.
“A number of studies have found evidence that the cannabidiol compound can effectively treat epilepsy in addition to a number of other illness – including anxiety, schizophrenia, heart disease and many others.”
It is not yet known when the shop will open.
The CBD Store has not responded to a request for comment from the Warrington Guardian.
