A FORMER Great Sankey High School pupil has launched his own events brand – with rapper Sean Kingston set to mark the occasion.

Off the back of an already successful business TheMashup, a record pool for DJs based in Warrington town centre, Dean Mcgonagle started Nothing but Madness.

On Tuesday, May 8 it will be bringing American rapper Sean Kingston to Showbar Nightclub, on Friars Gate, to mark its launch.

The 24-year-old said: "I tour under Nothing but Madness with my MC Keon Hill, from York, and my road manager Connor Walsh, from Manchester, but we decided that to launch our brand properly we would have to do something big.

"With the help of my manager Shaq, we are bringing Sean Kingston to Warrington with aims to take this brand across the country and Europe.

"There are dates already in the diary and our next artist is already booked for the next show, so things are looking great for the future."

The former Golden Square Shopping Centre cleaner appeared in ITV soap opera Emmerdale in 2004 and 2006, which led to him being selected take part in Peter Jones Enterprise Academy – moving away from home at aged 16.

It is an initiative set up by Dragon's Den star and entrepreneur, Peter Jones, to give future generations the skills and mindset to develop their own businesses.

From there, the budding DJ and entrepreneur decided to build his own brand, going viral on Facebook, gaining more than 40 million views and eventually signing to 151VE0 Talent.

Dean now has three full time employees working for him in his Bewsey Street offices with 14 freelance producers signed to his and business partner Daniel Boydell's website.
