A MAN was trapped in a vehicle following a crash involving a lorry that closed the M6 this morning.
The three-vehicle collision at junction 20 for Lymm shut all lanes of the southbound carriageway shortly after 10am today, Tuesday.
Lanes of the motorway reopened shortly after 10.30am, although one remained closed until around 12pm.
Two fire engines attended the scene, with crews working alongside paramedics to remove the trapped man from his vehicle.
He was then taken to hospital via an ambulance.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were on the scene for around an hour-and-a-half, with Cheshire Police also in attendance.
Congestion was reported back to junction 21a at Croft, with travel times through the affected area estimated at around half an hour.
