THE Red Lion pub in Penketh has officially reopened as a new Sizzling Pub & Grill following an extensive remodel.

While the company has also employed new staff from the area.

The pub and its staff are also planning a host of fundraising events and activities to support the community.

Located on Warrington Road, the refreshed Red Lion resumed serving visitors as the Sizzling Pub & Grill after it closed for a two-week refurbishment.

Following a significant investment, 12 new jobs have been created for the Penketh area.

Commenting on the pub’s new look and expansion, general manager, James Berry, said: “We’re so pleased at how brilliant the Red Lion looks following the refurbishment, and are really excited to be expanding the team.

“Bringing the new look Sizzling Pub & Grill to Penketh is really exciting for the whole team.

“At Sizzling Pub & Grill, we want to offer good food and good value for all our guests, and we’re thrilled to be providing the area with a new dining destination that does that in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.

“The pub looks fantastic following its refurbishment.

“We can’t wait to welcome back our regulars and the people of the Warrington area to see what the new look Red Lion is all about.”

Following the refurbishment, the Red Lion will continue to look to support the Penketh community with a calendar of fundraising initiatives and events throughout the year.
