MORE than 250 runners pounded the pavements of Warrington on Easter Monday to take part in the 50 Mile Liverpool to Manchester Ultra-Marathon.
Charlie Sharpe, from Croft, won the race in six hours and 17 minutes followed by Rob Lister and Martin Jennings.
Mel Edwards was the fastest female runner followed by Sally Ford and Karen Doak.
Runners came from all over the world descended on the north west to take part including competitors from Israel, Germany, Holland and France.
