PLANNING permission has been submitted for the construction of 86 houses as part of the Omega South development.

The site lies within the overall Omega Masterplan, which includes the development of 1,100 homes.

The application includes plans for associated car parking and landscaping in phase five and phase three of plans.

The houses incorporate a mix of family sized units from four-bedroom properties to larger dwellings which are predominantly two-storey.

Features include porches and alternative facing gables.

The site is bounded by Omega Boulevard, Lingley Green Avenue and Sophia Drive, with Barrow Hall Primary School situated to the east of the development.

Redrow Homes has submitted this phase of the planning.

In addition to the 1,100 houses on the site, this scheme includes a hotel, an extra care facility and a non-residential institution.
