POLICE have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in relation to a robbery at a pet shop on Lovely Lane.

At around 5pm on January 11, two men entered Warrington Pets & Exotics.

After several minutes inside the store they reached into a display case and stole several boxes containing 10 snakes.

A 20-year-old shop worker was attacked and pushed to ground after she tried to stop the men.

After leaving the store, the suspects sped off and abandoned the car close by.

The snakes have since been recovered and returned to the pet shop.

Detective constable Carl Davis, from Warrington CID, said: "Enquires in relation to this incident are ongoing and as part of my investigation I’m keen to speak to the men featured in the CCTV image as I believe that they may hold vital information in relation to the investigation.

“Investigations suggest that the men may be from the Liverpool area.

"I urge the men, or anyone who recognises them, to contact the team here at Warrington on 101."

Anyone who recognises the men, or anyone with any information in relation to the incident, is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 560 of January 11.

Information can also be passed on anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

An 18-year-old man was arrested at the time of the incident on suspicion of robbery and possession of a class B drug and remains released under investigation.
