A FEARLESS kayaker from Warrington set a new British record after successfully taking on a 128ft waterfall in Mexico.
Former St Gregory's Catholic High School pupil Bren Orton, 23, launched his kayak off the Big Banana waterfall in December.
The record-breaking descent involved an 80ft abseil into the gorge to get into position at the top.
Experts estimate that Bren hit the water at more than 60mph.
But he paddled away without any injuries and is already planning to run a taller waterfall in 2018.
