A SEMI-FINALIST from the 2016 series of The Voice will be performing in Warrington on Thursday.

Cody Frost, who will be releasing a self-penned EP next year, will doing an acoustic set outside Warrington Market as part of its 'Foodie Thirstdays' Christmas evening openings.

She said: "I've busy writing since the show ended, so it will be nice to perform on the street again, which is where I first started."

The weekly Foodie Thirstdays is a chance to get festive with street food and drink on offer from 5pm to 8pm.

This week the traders include:

  • gourmet hotdogs from In The Dog Haus
  • toasties from Cheese and Iron
  • Latin American cuisine from The Hungry Llama
  • Kenyan meats from Nyama Choma

You can also get merry with drinks from The Real Ale Shack and The Prosecco Pot, who do fizz, cocktails and mulled cider.

As well as a set from Cody Frost, DJ Diddy, from Lizard Inc Records, will be on the decks.

Liverpool Cheese Company will also be hosting a cheese school tonight. Simply turn up to their market stall at 6pm for a tutored tasting of 10 cheeses for £10.

And street photographer Wesley Harding will be showcasing his pictures from Warrington and across the north west and Jenny Brooks will have handmade glass work on sale.
