LONGBARN has been given the highest possible rating by Britain in Bloom judges for the second year running.
The area was granted a rating of outstanding by the Royal Horticultural Society and North West in Bloom in a ceremony in Southport on Wednesday, November 1.
It first gained its outstanding status from Britain in Bloom last year.
Longbarn Residents’ Association chairman Geoff Orange said: “Representatives from the LRA were very proud, again, to receive a level five certificate on behalf of the estate and all the volunteers from Longbarn who have contributed to achieving this result for the second year running.
“I, for one, am very grateful to the people who put their time and effort into maintaining the planters, grass verges, embankments and litter picking.
“When I think about it, I’m certain that there is no area in Warrington – or in fact in a much bigger area than that – that is so well looked after and presented.”
