THE year eight football team at Penketh High School proved victorious after competing against schools from across the county in the hotly-contested Cheshire Cup.
The school on Heath Road has plenty of reasons to celebrate following the win against Sandbach High School following a tense penalty shootout in the under 13s competition.
Both teams were still drawing following extra time during the final at Abbey Gate College in Chester.
John Roper, PE teacher at Penketh High, said: “As a school was are really proud of the boys’ hard work and dedication as a team.”
