A SPECIAL Christmas meal will be staged for vulnerable and homeless residents at the Town Hall on December 10.
Mayor Cllr Faisal Rashid has organised the event and is inviting anyone who is vulnerable, elderly, living alone or homeless, to join him.
He said: "Some members of our community can be forgotten or feel very alone during the festive season.
"This is an opportunity to reach out to them and help them make connections in a warm and friendly atmosphere."
Hotpot is on the menu, along with vegetable curry and samosas provided by the Sikh community.
Places are available on a first come, first served basis.
Cllr Rashid (LAB – Chapelford and Old Hall) added that he would like to be able to provide a small gift to anyone in attendance.
Any businesses or individuals who are able to offer suitable small gifts are being asked to come forward.
If you or someone you know would benefit from a hot meal and the opportunity to meet and chat with others call Julia Pickering on 442143 or e-mail jpickering@warrington.gov.uk by December 6.
Volunteers will be lending a hand to dish out meals at the Town Hall.
