A CARE agency operating in the town has been rated good by the Care Quality Commission after an inspection.
Tanners Lane-based CASA Warrington, which provides home care and support across the town, was inspected by the CQC earlier this year – unannounced on January 12 and on April 13 at 48 hours’ notice.
An inspector spoke to four people supported by the agency and two relatives of people receiving care during their visit, and was told that the staff ‘go above and beyond’.
The CQC’s report added: “Relatives told us that staff were always respectful towards their relative and showed consideration that they were guests in somebody’s home.
“People were treated with respect and the staff understood how to provide care in a dignified manner and respected people’s right to privacy.
“The staff knew the care and support needs of individuals well and took an interest in people and their families in order to provide person-centred care.
“Relatives told us that as much as possible their relative always had the same staff – they said that they never received support from people unfamiliar to them.”
