CONCERN has been raised over the contract for a PCSO who would patrol Wincham and Lostock.

The matter was raised at the last meeting of Lostock Parish Council during a discussion about the new officer's contract.

Lostock Parish Council agreed to share the funding of the PCSO with Wincham on the proviso it was written into their contract that they were an addition to current policing rather than areplacement. The matter was agreed at a meeting with police officials but according to Clr Nick Goulding this amendment is not in the contract they have been asked to sign.

He said: "We agreed to fund the PCSO on the understanding it was in addition to existing policing.

"We have not had those finer details written down and we are not happy about that."
