THE Charlatans are the third and final headline act confirmed to perform in Delamere Forest as part of the Forestry Commission’s annual Forest Live concert series. It will be a home forest gig for the band who last appeared in Delamere Forest in 2007.

Since their breakthrough hit, The Only One I Know, The Charlatans have been a pioneering force in British music. Subsequent top 10 albums include Melting Pot, Us and Us Only, Wonderland and Simpatico, together with further No 1 releases, The Charlatans and Tellin’ Stories.

Forest Live is an independent programme organised by the Forestry Commission bringing music to new audiences without commercial branding or sponsorship. Income from the concerts is spent on improving the woodland for both people and wildlife.

Lead vocalist Tim Burgess said: “This is a local gig for the band which makes it extra special for us and also we hope for our fans.

“Last time we were at Delamere Forest it was a great night and we’re looking forward to playing there again.”

The Charlatans will be performing on Sunday, July 7.

Tickets priced £34 are on sale now on 03000 680400 or at forestry.gov.uk/music.
