ROCK band The Phoenix Experiment launch their EP tomorrow, Friday, in Friars Court.

The psychedelic and electronic rock band formed from the ashes of The 66, are set to return to the town after almost eight months in the recording studio mastering their sound after a performance at last year’s Warrington Music Festival.

The band describe themselves as: “Being influenced by a wide range of musical genres including psychedelic rock, electronica, blues, Africana and industrial. “The self-described audio/visual experiment is an eclectic mix of sounds pulled together by the esoteric themes of light and dark, acting as a constant theme throughout the music.” Formed in 2011 by Mike Bee and Craig Harman, they enlisted former band member Paul Glover (keys and guitar) and Gaz Bennett (drums) to complete their sound. The band’s EP will be given away for free to anyone who attends the launch night with the three tracks to be available for free download a week later from the WArrington Music Website. Also playing on the night are Modern Alarms, and Kindest Of Thieves.

Entry is £3 with doors open from 9pm.
