THE bright lights of Hollywood have beckoned for an actor from Grappenhall.

Former Bridgewater High School pupil Nathan Head will be hoping to get cinema viewers hiding behind their seats as he stars in two horror films due to be released in America later this year.

The 32-year-old will feature in films Exorcist Chronicles and Dead Walkers: Rise Of The 4th Reich.

Nathan said: “I’ve been acting for the past few years now and I mostly enjoy working in the horror genre.

“I was pretty lucky to get cast in Exorcist Chronicles, it was originally intended as a platform for a TV series and I wasn’t too sure I would be successful in getting a role.

“We filmed it during the summer of 2012 and shortly afterwards the director cast me as the mad scientist, Professor Mastema, in his next feature Dead Walkers.

“Both are produced by a Californian production company and are due for general release later in 2013.”

Nathan, who now lives in Chester, studied art and design at Northwich College before moving into the acting world by starting out in short films.

“I’ve been lucky enough to work with some amazingly talented people over the past few years,” he added.

“I've been part of some interesting projects, last year I had a lead role in a British film called The Psychiatrist where I play William Rosenburg, it’s a dark thriller starring performance artiste David Hoyle, who was a pleasure to work alongside.”

When not filming Nathan is busy writing a book about Warrington and his family history.

He said: “My dad’s mother’s family, the Richards and the Moulsdales, lived in and around the Thelwall and Grappenhall area for generations and it’s been fascinating to look at photographs of my great-great-great-grandparents in the very same village I grew up in while researching through the photo archives and to learn so many fascinating facts about the area and my family's involvement.

“My book is a long way off completion now, but simply researching it has been a huge experience for me. ”
