THERE''S been a change to the show times for Queen of the Desert's visit to Rhyl.

Due to new technical requirements for the production, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert will now open at the Pavilion on Wednesday, September 25.

The show was originally set to open on Monday, September 23 for six nights.

However, fans of the cult favourite need fear not.

While the iconic bus will be gracing Rhyl with its glittering presence for a shorter period of time, the remaining performances will no doubt sparkle all the more brightly for their increased rarity.

The show marks Aussie West End star and Neighbours legend Jason Donovan's in his first time role as a producer alongside Hairspray and Fame veteran Mark Goucher.

For this revival of his homeland's LGBTQ classic, Donovan will also be joined by Strictly Come Dancing champion and Holby City star Joe McFadden as Mitzi Del Baa in what is sure to be a dazzling celebration of friendship, fortitude and all round fabulousness.

The story brings the 1994 film straight to Rhyl, introducing musical lovers to the flamboyant adventure of three friends – Felicia Jollygoodfellow, Mitzi and Bernadette Bassenger – who hop aboard a battered old bus - The Queen of the Desert - bound for Alice Springs to stage the show of a lifetime.

The iconic hit musical has more glitter than ever before, featuring a dazzling array of stunning costumes, fabulous feathers and a non-stop parade of dance-floor classics including It’s Raining Men, I Will Survive, I Love The Nightlife, Finally and many more.

The Queen of the Desert will now arrive at The Pavilion from Wednesday, September 25 until Saturday 28 at 7:30pm, with a 2.30pm matinee on Saturday.

Anyone who purchased tickets for showings on Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 is invited to call the Pavilion box office to discuss alternative arrangements.
