CHILDREN’S festival Just So has started to reveal its programme of artists, performers and new areas for families to adventure through in 2018.

Now in its ninth year, Just So is dedicated solely to children and their families, offering arts and unique experiences at Rode Hall Estate.

The multi award-winning event, run by Wild Rumpus, also has sister festivals in New Zealand and Brazil.

With a love of stories and childhood escapades at its heart, Just So Festival enables families to step out of their day to day lives and into a wonderland of literature, arts, theatre, dance, music, comedy and creative pursuits together.

New areas for 2018 include Playground of Illusions, where science and art will meet thanks to the Travelling Light Circus.

Just So will also be celebrating 250 years since the first circus in the world was formed by Philip Astley.

So Roll Up, Roll Up will be a lakeside area, dedicated to all things circus and seaside.

Look out for ‘Ramshacklicious’ from The Band At The End of the World featuring raucous brass music and meet curious characters at sideshows galore, including the Levitating Wonder and Fear Eater.

Elsewhere you can meet award-winning author and comedian James Campbell for the premiere of his new show Have I Got News For Kids, a hilarious look at current events from the perspective of kids. Or you can head to the Ministry of Games barn for the ultimate board games experience.

That is just a taste of Just So’s packed programme for 5,000 people from August 17 to 19. For information or tickets go to justsofestival.org.uk
