DUE to huge demand, The Book of Mormon is extending its first Manchester run.

New performances of Trey Parker, Matt Stone and Robert Lopez's Tony, Olivier and Grammy award-winning show have been added between July 15 and 27.

The full run of the West End hit will now be from June 6 to July 27.

The musical follows a pair of Mormon boys sent on a mission to a place that’s a long way from their home in Salt Lake City.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone are the creators of South Park, now in its 22nd season, and Team America: World Police.

So that should give you an idea what to expect from the provocative production which takes a satirical swipe at religion.

Trey and Matt teamed up with Robert Lopez to work his musical magic on The Book of Mormon.

Robert co-created the Broadway musical Avenue Q and co-wrote the songs for Disney’s Frozen and Coco.

Since making its world premiere in March 2011 at New York’s Eugene O’Neill Theatre, where it won nine Tony Awards, The Book of Mormon has been performed on three continents and won more than 30 international awards.

The London production opened in February 2013, winning four Olivier Awards, including Best New Musical, and breaking the record for the highest single day of sales in West End history.

Tickets for the new dates go on sale at 10am tomorrow, Thursday, here.
