ELTON John has embarked on his final tour which will see the Rocketman play more than 300 shows in three years.

Kicking off in the US in September, the aptly named Farewell Yellow Brick Road world tour will span five continents and finally reach Liverpool Arena on November 13 and 14, 2020.

More than half a million fans have already witnessed the tour, marking the swan song of one of pop culture’s most enduring performers and taking fans on a 50-year journey through his career.

Elton said: "The Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour will take us to many places that have meant a lot to me over the past 50 years, but these UK shows will be incredibly special. The UK is home, and where my heart will always be. To celebrate some of the incredible moments we’ve shared with my British fans over the years will be wonderful.

"These homecoming shows will be very emotional, and a lot of fun."
