THIS Halloween ghosts and ghouls will be haunting the East Lancashire Railway to give monsters big and small a journey they’ll never forget.

Organisers say those brave enough to climb aboard at the heritage railway in Bury will be in for a frightfully fun steam train trip through 12 miles of the eerie Irwell valley with a host of freaky phantoms and ghastly ghouls.

A spokesman added: "Show off your spookiest fancy dress and enjoy monstrous munch at the station buffet.

"Every little monster receives a free goody bag full of tricks and treats and you can even prepare for the scare with a Creepy Craft Workshop taking place at the nearby Bury Transport Museum."

Warrington Guardian:

Entry is free to the museum with a valid Halloween Ghost Train ticket.

But remember - the later the time, the scarier the train.
