HERE is a recipe for a good weekend.

Visit Arley Hall on September 24 and 25 for the return of the Great British Food Festival.

One of the highlights is the Chef Demo stage where top names from the world of cookery including Luis Troyano and Howard Middleton, finalists from the Great British Bake Off, will be sharing their secrets.

Luis and Howard will also be judging the 'Great British Cake Off', where amateur bakers compete head-to-head in two baking categories.

"I love doing the demos and the cake off is great fun, it’s brilliant to see what the public can do," said Luis.

Dan Maycock, festival director, added: "We’re thrilled to announce the great chefs at this year’s event.

The cake off competition is great fun, it’s fantastic to see the public entries and what they can do.

"We are excited to come back to Arley Hall, it's always a great crowd from Cheshire."

Artisan producers will also be showcasing the best in seasonal and speciality food and drink.

Pulled pork, prime steak and north west sausages are just a few of the flavours you can enjoy.

For those with less traditional tastes, there are the likes of ostrich burger and Thai and Caribbean flavours.

There will also be live music on the lawns throughout the weekend.

- The Great British Food Festival is at Arley Hall on Saturday and Sunday, September 24 and 25, from 10am to 5pm.
