ENJOY some classic pub grub at The Swan in Winwick after its refurbishment .

The Golborne Road pub has undergone a revamp with new flooring and furnishings and now it is back to business as usual with dishes served such as steak and ale pie, slow-cooked pork belly, Yorkshire sausage and mash and hand battered fish and chips.

Originally built in the 1880s on the site of the former coaching inn, the Chef and Brewer pub stands opposite the 13th century Grade I listed St Oswald's Church, which is where Cromwell's troops rested after the bloody Battle of Winwick Pass.

Marie and Neil Evans, General Managers at The Swan, said: “We’re delighted with the quality of our latest renovation, and can’t wait to show off our new look. We look forward to welcoming returning and new guests alike.”
