ARLEY Hall is playing host to the Cheshire Food Festival this weekend.

The recipe for the mouth-watering event is 100 top producers, a big serving of hot food and an array of real ale and bars.

Add a dash of craft and gift stalls, lots of activities and rides for the kids and free top chef demos.

Stir in a cake competition, the popular Men v Food challenge, add lashings of excellent live music and mix it all together to create a fantastic foodie family day out.

The main chef demo area hosts top talent from the like of expert chocolatier, Toby Beevers, Martin Evans, chef at Ryan Giggs' Manchester restaurant, Georges, and new star Shauna Muamba.

Shauna and her husband Fabrice have created a range of five sauces to introduce everyone to the versatility of Caribbean cuisine which will be available at the festival.

She said: "It is fantastic that people will be able to experience the true flavours of the Caribbean. "Also importantly a small donation from the sale of every jar will go to the Hearts and Goals charity which will help increase accessibility of defibrillators, which will save lives."

Once you’ve taken in a chef demo or two why not grab a drink or some tasty hot food and sit down to listen to some great live music.

Singer-songwriter James Gillespie will be performing on Sunday.

He added: "I’ve been doing festivals all around the country but I love the food festivals and Cheshire is a great crowd."

Also playing at the weekend are bands ‘Tumbling Dice’ and ‘The Task’.
