WE went to see Jason Manford last night at the Parr Hall.
Great show, very funny, the only downfall was the venue.
But I hate to say, the Parr Hall facilities are out of date, too small, access is poor, seats are very cramped and uncomfortable.
Now that Warrington is becoming such a large town, even wanting to become a city, a new theatre should be the top priority.
One of the immediate new projects for the town council and planners should be a new multi-purpose theatre with up-to-date facilities and true disabled access.
If Runcorn has The Brindley, why does our borough council not have a facility like this on the immediate agenda?
If Warrington has ambitions of being a city, it needs to provide the facilities that reflect the size and status of the town.
GEOFF HOLD Warrington
