ALTHOUGH I missed out on the first sale of Eric Tucker’s paintings, I did speak to Connaught Brown one of the galleries in London who put me on the VIP list for early viewing last weekend.

I bought two oil paintings, which I am delighted with.

Unfortunately because the exhibition is on until August 6 I won’t be able to take delivery until then.

I am originally from Manchester and I own a little rental property in Stockton Heath, where I spent three days last week.

I am still amazed that very few people I speak to in the village know about Eric, which is a real shame.

His paintings and his story should make him the most famous person in Warrington of recent times.

I do hope the Warrington Guardian can make the local population more aware of this amazing artist and local legend to be.
