TWO brothers who set up a successful coffee shop chain 10 years ago are marking the milestone by launching a new cafe in Warrington town centre.
The Coffee House was established by Chris and Stephen Shelmerdine in July 2011 in Lymm.
Now the former Patisserie Valerie corner plot in Golden Square's Old Market Place will become the independent business's ninth coffee shop.
An eight-week project is currently ongoing to transform the unit with an opening planned for the beginning of September. It is creating 15 jobs.
The brothers, who went to Lymm High, also have Coffee House branches in Sale, Partington, Widnes, Huyton, Northwich, Bootle and, most recently, Runcorn.
Chris said: "This year is a significant milestone for us as we will be celebrating our 10th anniversary, and what better way than to open in a location where we know so many of our existing customers shop regularly."
Visitors can meet for coffee and home-baked cakes and treats or order breakfast, brunch or lunch to sit in or takeaway.
Inside, there will be bespoke wall art and handmade furniture to create a cosy but stylish atmosphere and there will be additional covered seating outside.
There will also be digital displays to showcase the menu, which has recently expanded to cover more vegan and gluten-free options.
Chris added: "It is an absolute pleasure to have the opportunity to deliver a store in the popular Golden Square shopping centre.
"Having a Warrington branch has always been an ambition of ours and work has already begun to transform the store which we expect to last eight weeks.
"The planned opening is for the end of the summer holidays and we can't wait to welcome customers new and old to our latest store.
"Stephen and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has continued to support us during this difficult period, and we must thank the team at Golden Square for the early support they have shown us as we embark on creating this amazing store."
