BILL and Ted have returned for another excellent adventure – almost 30 years since the time-travelling duo were last on screen.

There has been much talk and excitement over the years about the cult sci-fi comedy series making a comeback and Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter reuniting as slacker musicians Ted 'Theodore' Logan and William 'Bill' S. Preston Esq.

A script for a third movie to follow Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey as early as 2010.

Warrington Guardian:

Well, after saving the future twice in the late 80s and early 90s, the 'Wyld Stallyns' are finally back in Bill and Ted Face The Music which is out tomorrow, Wednesday.

So what happens when our teenage heroes become middle-age parents?

Destiny comes calling again when Bill and Ted learn they have a short time to write their magnus opus song or reality will collapse. No pressure then. Oh, and they're being hunted by a time travelling robot.

Warrington Guardian:

The film also introduces Flight of the Conchords' Kristen Schaal as Kelly, daughter of Rufus, Samara Weaving as Thea, Bill's daughter, and Brigette Lundy-Paine as Billie, Ted's daughter. Billie and Thea – has a familiar ring to it doesn't it?

Rufus, a guide from the year 2688, was one of the favourite characters of the originals but the actor who portrayed him, George Carlin, died in 2008.

SO IS IT ANY GOOD?

There is a good chance Bill and Ted Face The Music may have slipped off your radar with everything that has been going on in the world so here is how the long awaited sequel has been received.

On the aggregate review site, Rotten Tomatoes, 81 per cent of critic reviews have been positive with a 75 per cent audience score.

It said: "As wholesomely goofy as its heroes, Bill and Ted Face the Music is a rare long-belated sequel that largely recaptures the franchise's original charm."

Party on, dudes!
