MORE than 20 Cheshire food producers will showcase their offerings in a culinary exploration event in Delamere.

Delamere Events has teamed up with Chester restaurant The Chef's Table to deliver the mouthwatering array at its stunning Cherry Orchard Lake venue, complete with see-through marquee overlooking the water.

Billed as the ultimate seasonal dining experience, the collaborative event is being held on Friday and Saturday, September 27 and 28.

With a focus on Cheshire produce, it will feature six courses with paired drinks – all to the soundtrack of north west folk group Me & Deboe.

Taking inspiration from The Chef's Table's creative menus, one of the dishes described simply as ‘Smoky’ comprises Cheshire Smokehouse smoked salmon, with Christleton Orchard Range creamed egg, Cheshire Saffron Company saffron, and Malpas anise hyssop, paired with a glass of English sparkling wine.

Another course showcases the sweeter producers, featuring Haughton Honey cake, fresh honeycomb and Field 28 lemon verbena, with a sticky sherry drinks pairing.

The Chef’s Table Events team will introduce their distinctive menu, highlighting the suppliers and culinary twists they’ve added to each dish.

Evening menus, including a vegetarian menu, have been recently released online at chefstablechesterevents.co.uk with vegan and other dietary options available.

Tom Hughes, co-owner of The Chef’s Table, said: “We’re really chuffed so many producers and suppliers have agreed to work with us collaboratively, to showcase the best Cheshire has to offer.

Warrington Guardian:

"This event is just as much about each of the individual producers, as it is for the team here at Chef’s Table Events.

"We’re simply using our reputation to give other local businesses a platform to get noticed.

"At the event we’ll make sure every producer is given credit for their contribution to each dish, and staff will be available to discuss the provenance of each ingredient with guests.

"After the tickets for our pop-up event in Chester Zoo sold out in 10 hours flat, we know if we create something really unique and high quality, people will want to come. That’s what we’ve done here too.”

Ryan Cartwright, owner of Delamere Events, added: “Hosting an event so focused on promoting other local organisations is heartwarming, and aligns with our ethos of supporting business partners across Cheshire.

"We’re just adding the finishing touches to the event – gazing at the stars from the see-through marquee will be a stunning experience and we can’t wait to see the final results at the end of September."
