Development Affecting the Setting of a Listed Building and BUTTERMARKET STREET conservation area
Application No: 2017/30951 & 2017/30950 Proposal: Listed Building-The proposed scheme is for the refurbishment of an existing extension of the Friends Meeting House in Warrington. A total of 23m sq. of internal space will be refurbished to include new WC, disabled WC and kitchen layout, as well as new pitched roof to extension. Location: Friends Meeting House, Academy Place, Academy Street, Bewsey And Whitecross, Warrington, WA1 2NR Applicant: Mr David Slater, Religious Society of Friends (Manchester)
The Council has the above proposal under consideration and is required to give notice of it, as required by Section 67 of the Town and Country Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 as the proposal affects the setting of a Listed Building. The proposal may also affect the character and appearance of the Conservation Area within the meaning of Section 73 of the Town and Country Planning (Listed Buildings & Conservation Areas) Act 1990.
