i so very sorry to hear about the passing of Phil it came as a massive shock to me and i know the grieving that you all are suffering as i went through 2 years ago when my younger brother passed away suddenly i knew Phil nearly all my life and enjoyes his company both from a working point of view and a sporting point of view we had our disagreements but my fondest memories of him was he was above all a great character with a heart of gold and he was a credit to you sending you all my condolences at this very sad time

Frank , Anne an Micky ,, words can't express how shocked we were of Phil's passing , I know this probably won't mean much to you at this time , but hopefully in the future it could give you the warmth with which it is intended , we've played footy together , drunk together , fought together an been friends for a very long time , through thick an thin our friendship has remained

To Frank, Anne and Michael, I am so so sad to hear of Phil's passing. I fondly remember our growing up together on Moore Avenue and I was very glad to get the opportunity to meet up with both Phil and Mike on a visit to the Pickering Arms in more recent times having lived away for many decades. We chatted about the good old days as well what has happened in our lives to date. Phil was a great friend and he will be sorely missed. My sincerest condolences go to you all. Ian (Prior from No. 20).
