GEOFFREY JOHN WOODS In loving memory of Geoffrey John Woods 4th June 1959 who was sadly taken from us on 27th July 2019 in a tragic accident in the Philippines the family would like to invite his friends to join them in a celebration of his life on Sat 31st August at The Horse Shoe Inn, Croft at 12 noon

Geoff,
It’s been brilliant knowing you for almost 50 of our 60 years, through so many laughs and too many “scrapes” - though we always got through them, somehow... From Cross Lane in the early ‘70s to all our recent jollies in Thailand, Burma, Laos, the Philippines and even Wales last summer.
Mick googled the Rans Coyote and found out about its lethal instability issues after low speed stalling, and the many crashes it has caused. I knew you were too good and careful a pilot and mechanic for it to have been down to you. I’m just glad you went quickly, doing something you loved – which you were also so good and meticulously careful at. But I’m pig sick at how unlucky you were.
And I’m gutted that we didn’t get those last chances we were planning, to meet up in Wales last week and go for a blast on the mo’bikes again, then me flying over to the Philippines next February, so that we could take off somewhere for another few days of chaos – I loved our menkal escapes, off the beaten track from civilisation.
I'll miss you, but if there is anything on the other side, at least I’m sure now that there will be someone – YOU! - lining things up for when we meet up again – now that really would be something to look forward to!
