Please explain road markings

WOULD the council official or highways person who has come up with the new road markings at Bridge Foot roundabout please step forward and explain the maths for us.

We now have two lanes servicing the two-lane road of Mersey Street which is great. The first time they have ever left two lanes in two!

However this means the outside lane passing the Warrington Guardian offices now serves the retail park, the Knutsford Road exit and the two lanes for Stockton Heath and Chester Road.

One into four and two into two?

Have the council officers ever used the road?

I would say at least four times as much traffic using that junction goes off to four exits than goes down Mersey Street and it is now being forced into one lane outside the Guardian.

I am sure there have been and will be many accidents which the Guardian will get some fantastic pictures for the ensuing court cases against the idiots who came up with this.

I just hope no one dies while waiting for it to be put right.
