The forgotten bus shelter

I AM pleased that the council, although faced with hard decisions in the current recession, is coping with continued maintenance programmes, albeit at a slower pace.

However I am always puzzled by the fact that the old red bus stop outside Sainsbury’s supermarket in Church Street was never upgraded pre-recession with a new blue and yellow one.

I suppose someone in the council could explain. I would be interested in their reasons.
