  • "if you got to a report dated 16th feb i covered all that, infact I have had a meeting with the council, who were adamant they were doing it for the right reasons, and now they are putting announcements on WIRE FM saying they are "taking the streets back" and also now ignoring me when I pointed out to them that these announcements were not only irresponsible but also anti road safety and dangerous, I have also been trying to get direct contact with the warrington guardian, but it seems they they are not exactly impartial either. equal power AND equal responsibility is the only way to ensure road safety."

No logic to speed limits

No logic to speed limits No logic to speed limits

THE logic employed by Warrington Borough Council to justify blanket 20mph speed limits is interesting. Using its logic, if 20mph is better than 30 surely a 10mph limit would be better and a 5mph limit better still?

Come to think of it we could employ a bit of lateral thinking and require all motorists are preceded by a person waving a red flag.

Not only would this result in very safe roads but also cure the unemployment problem in Warrington.
