Warrington Walking Day - proud of our town’s tradition

Proud of our town’s tradition Proud of our town’s tradition

I WOULD like to thank everyone who turned out for Warrington Walking Day.

It’s a walk of Christian witness and from what I saw the church is still alive and well in Warrington.

Most of the people walking are regular worshippers and know the importance of the walk. A lot of the people watching have probably never stepped foot inside a church except for baptisms, weddings and funerals.

Walking day is probably the only time they ever see Christians as not many people go to church these days.

We should be proud of this Christian tradition and keep it going for years to come.

I know that some use it as an excuse for a booze up but back in the day it was a respected church parade.

It still remains a witness to the hope of the resurrection.
