Losing will over recycling changes

WHAT a farce this CWAC weekly recycle collection is.

We have had our day changed from Thursday to Tuesday after eight years and suddenly nobody can find us.

We have been missed for the third week running. I have phoned the council every week and they promised we would get serviced within 24/48 hours – which never happened.

So now I have to drag all the rubbish back in and put it out tomorrow and even the next day.

Why is it so complicated just because a day has changed? I even spoke to the van driver at the front of my house who was servicing Nixon Drive (ours are serviced from Saxon Crossway).

He was very polite and offered to get in touch with someone who would make sure we got emptied but the guy on the phone at the council said he can’t do that because they have no radios or phones to contact anyone.

We are expected to try to follow this new scheme but I am fast losing the will to carry on.

I am wondering if I am going to get a rebate on my rates because I deserve one.
