Warrington Market lift

I AM disgusted that the market lift on Academy Way has not been working for the past five weeks with no sign of a maintenance engineer at all.

I asked at the information centre in the market and was told ‘your guess is as good as ours as to when it will be working again’.

This lift is essential for the disabled and elderly but it has been sidelined to save money.

Would someone from the council care to comment?

The market is currently being advertised as the best in the north west but I beg to differ.

Its all in the cause of economy,This council will spend nothing, Will do nothing, Will only get to grips with anything if you take them to court, They waste council tax money on stupid idea,s but will not repair roads, lifts, Toilets etc etc etc. They forget who voted them in until the next election.

They're running the place into the ground and probably don't care much for the broken lift. You could call the maintenance company yourself (there is usually a plaque with contact details of the maintenance company in the lift) and report the fault. They will usually come out and carry out the necesarry repairs. No one will know any better until a few weeks after when the market management company receives a strange invoice..
