The growing problem of ivy
7:50am Thursday 28th June 2012 in Letters
DOES the council not notice what is happening to our trees and hedgerows?
They will all be killed off if they allow this ivy (weed) to invade every tree or item that stands in its way!
Just look at the way it shrouds them in its tentacles like a slow death.
Just Google "ivy killing our trees" and you will see it’s a national epidemic and still garden centres sell it!
Surely something has to be done before we lose our countryside!

Ivy is a beautiful plant that has several uses. It can make a drab old wall look far more attractive. It is a very useful and attractive plant to use in decoration etc., etc.,. The fault lies with the town gardens dept., for failing to keep it under control.
