Arpley landfill site

IN view of the fact that David Mowat, MP for Warrington South, has raised the issue of the Arpley landfill site in a debate in the House of Commons, will he now release a statement to the Guardian that he ‘objects’ to the extension of the life of the site?

I have lived on Saxon Park since it opened and was well aware of the landfill and the possibility of a contract extension since I decided to buy my home. I have no objection to the landfill and find it simple and safe (regards the trucks) to get in and out of the estate and also Liverpool Road. The idea of a beautifully landscaped area in the future is something I look forward to and will only enhance the area. Also the contracts involved must surely bring in much needed revenue for WBC which should be spent enhancing the areas around the site. In general the wagons travel at a reasonable speed unlike most residents of Saxon Park (Forest way is 20mph). My biggest problem getting around is the illegal, inconsiderate parking of cars on pavements, often the whole vehicle is on the pavement while the driveway or designated parking spaces lay empty. I know some will say that's nothing but to those with wheelchairs, prams or children walking to the park this is infuriating. If your too lazy to park in the drive or space around the back then at least park on the road. How would you feel if it was your car that caused a child to be hit by another because you parked badly?
Ps: the broken down truck was not chaos. It happened once and could happen anywhere to anyone i.e Hews Gray, Warrington Landscapes, United Utilities etc.
