Thanks for the grant

I WOULD like to thank the three ward councillors for Fairfield and Howley Tony Higgins Peter Carey and Kevin Bennett in securing a much needed grant for our residents’ association based at Watkin Street.

We realise that times are hard and tough choices have to be made but with this help we are able to continue the good work we are doing for our residents.

A big thank you from all at Watkin St Residents Association.

Just had a quick chat with my close friend a former lab councillor who will remain unnamed who tells me mr Bennett is rarely seen in Fairfield or Howley during the day and is unable to visit any of his voters during the day because of work commitments ! Well good for him that he's got a job to go to but doesn't that leave all the work to Higgins and Carey who I believe are seen quite often around their ward during the day when people need them not at 7 o'clock at night when cllr Bennett as clocked off ! Anyway Its a thought
