Concern over ‘dancing Chris’

I AM writing to express my concern for Chris Berry’s way of life. Many will know him as the dancing man of Walton.

A few years ago after finishing work I was walking across the swing bridge in Stockton Heath when he came up behind me and threatened to throw me into the canal. He was clearly drunk.

I noticed the other day that he is back on the scene. He was sat at Bridge Foot swigging cider playing a guitar. He tried to engage me in conversation.

Not everyone will be like me and run away from him. What happens if he approaches a gang? I’m surprised he’s not been seriously hurt or even killed yet.

How does he survive in the winter?

I found it very strange that someone chose to have him open their shop on Chester Road.

oh my god i walked past him right near the honda dealer near guardian medical centre. we has blitzed and asleep at the side of the road on the pavement. this was at 10am in the morning. didn't recognize him.

saw chris yesterday afternoon on bridge foot, he was wrecked as a rat but seemed in good spirts (no pun intended)

If you didn't recognise him, how do you know it was him and you walked past him?

I saw him outside Esquires in Stockton Heath a few months ago. Someone had bought him a coffee and a cake. Wasn't he locked up until recently?
