Offer ignored

WE have allotments on Glazebrook Lane and I contacted the relevant department at the council which deals with the waiting list of 500 plus people to let them know we had some allotments spare which they could offer to people on the waiting list.

We have heard nothing. When we opened the allotment we had a similar experience.

Having just received a letter from the council asking if I wish to remain on the allotment waiting list (I think they are trying to clear it down a bit!) I find this laughable. I contact them every year to find out where I am in the queue, yet they are turning down offers like this. Some people have waited donkeys years for allotments and the council will not turn over anymore land to help clear the waiting list, they just hope you pop your clogs before your name comes up.

"We have some allotments"

Who are "we" - is Mr Moran representing a business - if so, why should the council do his marketing for him?

I assume this is the same Patrick Moran who is described as a "property developer" in previous reports.
