Frustrated at Post Office

I WONDER if some of the increased postal charges will serve to improve the deplorable service we suffer regarding anything other than a standard letter.

Frequently the postman has gone before the occupant can get to the door and we are left with only the card telling us where and when we can collect it.

In recent weeks I have waited with increasing frustration to collect packages and am alarmed by not only the size of the queue but also the apparent lack of interest on the part of the service staff. The record number of people I have seen waiting was 27.

This frustration was further increased this evening when, having joined a queue once again stretching outside the door, I found that the packet I had collected fitted through the letterbox after all.

I won’t go into the fact that we have had deliveries from three different postmen in one day – as a pensioner I would not be expected to understand the explanation.

I would just like to say I really like both my post men, They do a really good job, If I am not in they leave with neighbours or even take it to my sisters in another street. Milner street is sometimes busy but I just wait with patience and am happy to receive whatever it is they have held for me. Hats off post men wouldn't like to be without you. :)
