Won't shop at Tesco again

I WANTED to make other readers aware that Tesco on Winwick Road is now issuing parking tickets via an outsourced car park ticketing company.

I parked outside the store while briefly shopping for one item and on my return found a £70 ticket on my windscreen.

I am sure many other shoppers would be as shocked as I was if it happened to them.

Insult is added to injury when you are also charged a £1.50 processing fee by the operator ‘National Ticketing Services’, even if paying by debit card.

I certainly will not be shopping there again and find it incredulous that a supermarket would act in this way.

So Warrington Guardian readers, you have been warned!

Why did you get a ticket? Were you shopping elsewhere, parked over lines, in a disabled/parent & child bay, or did they just decide you had been in there too long?

My money would be on parking right outside the door rather than in a space, 2nd guess in a disabled bay.

Can we start giving Tesco’s store manager tickets now for all of the trolleys that we see scattered around Warrington? Why don't they control those trolleys like Asda do, before more end up in the roads, and cause an accident.
Even if you phone the Tesco’s hotline to have them removed, They never visit, Typical, Tesco just want to take, and not give...Every little helps, so start listening.

i was watching them ticket cars the other week... some weren't even parked in a proper bay, others parked in mother an baby or disabled without proof of being able to park there, but also they were ticketing cars that were there near closing time and may of been at the warrington game rather than shopping at tesco, which is good if they were at the game but the store still had loads of customers inside who may of been finishing there shopping! so felt sorry for them that had tickets.

the comment regarding the trolleys all round the car park, i have never seen this to be a big problem i find tesco and asda westbrook to be very good collecting the trolleys...
