I HAVE just learnt from my bus driver that Network Warrington will be withdrawing the number 23 bus from April.
I think this decision is really bad for many reasons, not least the fact that I have to pay approximately £800 a year for a pass.
There are also a lot of sheltered accommodation homes in the area housing elderly people who use the number 23 bus service.
A while ago they changed the times of the buses which meant that I was getting into work late so I had to change my hours to accommodate this.
Now there is the possibility that I will have to do so again if the times are to change again.
Unfortunately I am on annual leave for the next two weeks and am only back in at the beginning of April and am therefore unable to let work know if I need to change my hours as there has been no literature put out about where I will now be able to get a bus into work and the times that they will run.
It would have been nice to have some prior warning other than hearing it from a bus driver.
