IN reply to one of your letters about a new site for the hospital (Warrington Guardian, March 15) I would like to add my opinion.
In the 1970s it was proposed to build a new hospital for our town and surrounding areas on land belonging to the NHS on the old Winwick Hospital site.
The reason it never went through was due to the southern part of Warrington complaining it would take too long to get there.
How ironic it would be for the north, west and east of Warrington to travel to the southern side of town as the rest of our town not been built up with housing development since the 1970s.
