WARRINGTON Borough Council is bulldozing its crazy traffic plans through on Birchwood Way, by cutting down the old and established trees that line the road (some of them more than 100 years old), before any planning decision has been made on their proposals (Warrington Guardian, March 8).
It’s a case of the council being judge, jury and executioner by submitting its own plans, not consulting with residents or neighbours, approving the plans themselves and making a start on them so they can beat the deadline for tree felling.
All because they want to make traffic flow a little bit quicker.
Well it has not worked further up Birchwood Way at Moss Gate has it?
