WHAT is going on on our high streets?
It seems hardly a day goes by without another shop closing.
I walked up Bridge Street the other day and I think every store from the bottom until you reached McDonald’s was closed.
And when you see Toys R Us and Prezzo shutting, it is clear Warrington is not on its own.
My concern is not just the job losses, but what about a way of life?
Shopping is more than just buying stuff. It is about interacting with people.
When will that happen if we just buy from Amazon?
Everyone will be working in warehouses like Omega (assuming robots don’t take every job) and nobody will ever meet anyone else.
I worry how this will all end.
